The High Holidays are fast approaching and people need our help.
Individuals like Michelle & Barry.
Michelle is 82 years old and confined to her home. Her only son and grandchildren live across the country and haven’t been able to travel since the pandemic hit. She feels terribly alone and isolated. Michelle is desperate for connection, for a community to reach out and show they care.
Barry is a doctor at Westchester Medical Center, working around the clock due to Covid. While Barry has been taking care of hundreds of patients and fighting to save lives since the start of this pandemic, ironically, this will be his first Rosh Hashanah celebrating the New Year alone.
We all depend on community. It gives us meaning. It gives us strength.But how can you and I create a close community when we need to be physically far apart? Your donation makes it possible. Here’s how:
We can deliver holiday joy and show we care. We can deliver Rosh Hashanah in a box to community members - bringing them delicious holiday treats, meaning and inspiration. We will reinvent the power of the high holidays to unite and uplift. You can be part of the holiday connection!
We can support each other with programs like Shofar in the Park. Zoom Classes. Socially distant services. Personal check-ups on the elderly and inspiration for our seniors in nursing homes.
There are so many who need hope, connection and support right now, who so desperately need to feel the community’s care. We have the power to uplift them and remind them that they are not alone.
